Synopsis:

Lu Gui Chen is the heir of the nomadic Qingyang tribe, and is sent to the Eastern Land as hostage. He meets Ji Ye, an unfavoured illegitimate son who is training to become a warrior, and Yu Ran, the princess of the Winged tribe. The three become close friends, and the boys’ feelings for Yu Ran soon turn romantic.

At the same time, powerful warlord Ying Wu Yi has been maintaining a firm control over the Emperor, giving him unprecedented power over the nobles. Lu Gui Chen, Ji Ye, and Yu Ran decide to join the decisive battle against Ying Wu Yi at Shangyang Pass, but unbeknownst to them, an even darker conspiracy is yet to unfold.

  2. I’m new to wuxia dramas, can you recommend some good ones? I enjoyed Heavenly sword dragon slay saber, fight break sphere, the legends and the untamed. Any recommendation appreciated 🙂

    1. Hello! There are a lot of great wuxia dramas. I highly recommend watching Princess Agent (2017). There is the Eternal Love (2017):, Eternal Love of Dream (Three Lives, Three Worlds, The Pillow Book), The Flame’s Daughter, Ashes of Love, Fighter of the Destiny, Novoland The Castle in the Sky (2016), An Oriental Odyssey, and The Legend.

      There is also this year 2020 recently completed; The Romance of Tiger and Rose, Love of Thousand Years, and Novoland Castle in the Sky 2, The Chang’an Youth, I’ve Fallen For You…

      There are a lot. I hope you will enjoy watching my recommended TV series as I have.

  4. This drama was trash! 56 episodes of a messy story line. Literally should’ve made it 20 episodes if that was going to be the ending ???

    Personally I thought there was just too many unnecessary plots in this drama that leaded to nowhere. This whole drama was boring, Especially having a weak male lead who’s always on the verge of dying, crying & is just straight useless (like the dude had powers) & he still got his ass beat every single time -_- if this drama was about the 2nd male it’ll be much more interesting …. idk that’s just my thoughts, but everyone has their own opinions & preferences. I’m not saying don’t watch it lol it’s just not all there IYKWIM. Omg the female lead is so annoying if I could slap her though my screen I would.

  6. Are you using an auto translator application for English subtitles? The translations are very poor; It’s hard to understand the storyline and very important relationships and title of characters do not make sense. It is so frustrating to make sense of what is otherwise a good story and well worth watching EXCEPT for the English translations. The first few subtitles were adequate but something changed and the quality has deteriorated. “The telling of a good story is lost in the translation.” Sad.
