Synopsis: Sweet, sour and bitter live stories in the vibrant setting of Jeju Island.

Lee Dong Seok (Lee Byung Hun) was born and raised on the countryside of Jeju Island. He sells trucks for a living. He meets Min Sung Ah (Shin Min Ah), a woman with a mysterious past who comes to Jeju to escape that life.

Park Jung Joon (Kim Woo Bin) is a ship captain who falls in love with Lee Young Ok, a diver with a very bright personality.

Jung Eun Hee (Lee Jong Eun) is a fish shop owner who reunites with her first love Choi Han Soo (Cha Seung Won) after 30 years.

Go Mi Ran (Um Jung Hwa) is Jung Eun Hee’s friend who returned to Jeju because she was bored with city life.

Airs  from 04/09/2022 on Saturdays and Sundays.

  1. This year’s best community drama. I love it. It portrayed the simplicity but hard work life of Jeju island communal residents. In such a place no one can ever be isolated. I loved how everyone was in each other’s faces, wary of strangers but once they get to know the person, no judgements passed, they just embraced the new comers. It also showed family dynamics, the mess and pain of teenage pregnancies and forgiveness as well through the trials each family faced. No one went to bed hungry as they took care of each other. How I wish societies still held those values and morals, this world would definitely not be a lonely place.

    Well-done to the script writers and directors plus the actors, it was such a beautiful and yet tear jerking drama.

  6. Ep 5 has really made me emotional??. Teenagers really get a hard time when they mess up with pregnancy issue ,thanks for our blues and the characters too have portrayed well the ” abortion” issue?
